With over 3000 years of history, the guqin (ancient Chinese zither) is an integral part of Chinese literati culture, listed as one of the 'Four Arts' (guqin, chess, calligraphy and painting). Since 2003, the guqin has been included on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Liang Yi Museum is delighted to have Ms. Wang Youdi, renowned guqin performer, as speaker of our July edition of Liang Yi Talks. Her lecture will explore the history and culture of guqin and will include an intimate performance.
